Shyla graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with an honours degree in fashion design, before being selected as a finalist in the prestigious British Graduate Designer of the Year awards and beginning her career as a fashion designer.

Her design career saw her work for labels such as DKNY, Reebok, Smirnoff and New York Textiles in London and New York, yet despite her success Shyla found herself looking for something that allowed her to express herself creatively; in working as a stylist for both fashion and commercial clients she has found the ideal fit for her love of fashion and creative flair.

Since making the switch over to styling Shyla has worked as a Fashion and Celebrity Director for Recognise magazine; here she was responsible for the overall creative angle of both the fashion and celebrity shoots, working with celebrities such as Nicole Scherzinger, Coco Sumner, Paloma Faith and Tom Hughes, to name just a few.

Commercially she has worked for clients such as, L’Oreal, Harrods, Water Aid, H&M, Saks, the BBC, David Clulow and Nestle.

Currently, she works as a freelance stylist and consultant for both editorial and advertising clients. She also works extensively within the music business, as well as working with private clients on  image consultation. Shyla loves the broad variety of her client base as it enables her to use her creative skills in a number of ways whilst indulging her love of fashion.
